The project is a feasibility study and proof of concept for developing an extended reality (XR, an umbrella term for virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality) Hub, consisting of a novel XR platform for displaying and exploring artefacts, locations, and artistic virtual installations in the field of cultural heritage and the arts, and a set of XR authoring tools to speed up content production and deployment.

Soft Skills Training in VR – Gamification and platform – Phase 1: Design
The partnership allowed the company to start prototyping the platform for soft-skills training in XR based on designs developed by the University. The collaboration with the Creative Technologies group allowed the company to integrate concepts of gamification together with the technical tools required to manage and deliver remote XR training.

Engaging and Connecting visitors to the Scottish Crannog Centre environment using immersive experiences – Design Phase
This project will be phase one of the renovation of the Scottish Crannog Centre experience and will consist of a feasibility study and design of a new form of interactive mixed reality immersive experience within the Centre, which will virtually link past dwellers and present visitors as well as the current Crannog to all other Crannogs in Scotland.
